Training in Kinesiology #01

What is it?

  • Put simply, kinesiology means the study of movement, and when used in complementary medicine, it means manually testing the muscles to see how they move. The kinesiologist pushes by hand on different muscles to see if they can hold their position. The tests give the kinesiologist and the person being tested information about how the muscles are working and how they are affected by emotional or nutritional stress.

  • There are many professions today using different kinds of muscle testing, including chiropractors, doctors, dentists, and other practitioners who apply various levels of training in their clinical practice.

  • "Help!"It can be very confusing for someone who trying to figure out what type of kinesiologist to turn to, or what kind of kinesiology to study, because there are many kinds. Here are the names of some of them, and you can click onto any of these highlighted names to get onto their website: Professional Kinesiology Practice ICPKP, Touch for Health TFH/IKC, Applied Kinesiology ICAK, Three in One 3in1, Edu-K Edu-K, Wellness Kinesiology wellness kinesiology, Clinical Kinesiology, Health Kinesiology, and many more.
